Immune System Boosting Tips

Published August 3rd, 2021 by Dr. Markson

Now that we have entered August, fall is upon us! We may not experience the falling leaves and chilly air in South Florida, but we certainly see an increase in sickness. After this last year, there are very few illnesses that can strike fear in us, but that does not mean that we should not look into being better protected against the ones that are floating around. Increase immunity before fall comes, and be better protected against illness and better equipped to fight germs. Here’s how chiropractic can help.

Your Immune System

We all have immune systems thanks to evolutionary processes, but portions of our systems work better than others usually. Sometimes this distinction between the better and worse operating pieces is described as having or not having a specific disorder. Think of allergies as an example. In theory, our immune system should be more than able to fight against germs and conditions like this, but in reality—it can be quite hard for it. This is why it is important that you look into ways and treatments to increase immunity before you are already sick.

Immune System Boosting Tips

Clearly, the first tip will be to come see us to help with fixing any sort of subluxations (compression of nerve pathways) that may have occurred. We fix these first by doing a spinal alignment because it helps stimulate and reactivate your immune system. But another good tip is to eat the right foods since some have nutrition that will significantly help your system operate better (like vitamin D and C specifically). Further, make sure that you are keeping up with at least the same level of hygiene that you had during the pandemic. We all know that cleanliness is important for not getting sick, but it also helps to increase your immune system by removing those small-issue particles and letting your system save energy if you do get sick. To help boost your system, and to get more immune system boosting tips, contact Markson Chiropractic located in Plantation, to get an appointment.
