Get on the Paddleboarding Bandwagon

Published January 26th, 2016 by Dr. Markson

Standup paddleboarding is becoming more and more popular and there's no time like the present to give a new activity a try. All you need to know how to do is balance, which I can help you with if you come in for an adjustment! Check out these awesome health benefits from paddleboarding to see why I am such a proponent:

Improve your balance: The only thing you really need to be able to do to paddleboard is balance. You can either stand upright or go on your knees. I would recommend standing upright as this will help improve your core stability and leg strength which will help you to balance better.

Get a full body workout: You'll use almost every muscle in your body while paddleboarding. Your core and your legs will be hard at work keeping your stabilized. And your arms, back and shoulders will be in full force to propel the paddleboard forward.

Low impact exercise: Our joints get banged around enough as it is so any low impact exercise is always a great way to workout. If you like to run, you can paddleboard and get a good low impact workout in without the shin splints or knee and hip pain.

Reduce Your Stress: Getting outside, especially on the water, is guaranteed to reduce your stress levels!

It's nice and cool out and the waters are smooth so hop on a paddleboard and start reaping the benefits asap!
