Sally Noriega, ARNP, MS, FNP-BC, NP-C, CEN, CCRN, EMT-P

Sally is a double board certified Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) from ANCC and (NP-C) from AANP. Sally has 25 + years in the medical field beginning in 1989 as a Broward County EMS Paramedic.

Sally has worked in various capacities in the ED; trauma nurse, triage, charge, stroke, mentoring, emergency department clinical nurse manager, 18 months as a Rapid Response Team Nurse member, and five years as emergency department Clinical Nurse Specialist educating the department’s 200 + emergency department employees.

Sally graduated from Broward College with an Associate in Science degree in Emergency Medical Services, Florida International University with Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Florida Atlantic University with her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner. Sally is currently a Florida Atlantic University Doctor of Nursing student, with graduation scheduled for summer of 2015.

She is credentialed by the American Heart Association as an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) instructor, Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Nurse (ENPC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) provider, board certified as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), Florida licensed Paramedic and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), as well as maintaining NIH Stroke credentialing and various other educational credentialing and competencies.

Sally supports her community during times of need as a member of FL-5 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) and Florida Advanced Surgical Response Team (FAST) flight nurse team member, where she trains and deploys as a disaster team supervisory nurse. Sally also joined the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure breast cancer society, running 5K, 10K, marathons and half marathons, raising funds for cancer patients after both her parents were diagnosed with Leukemia. Animal rescue, especially saving homeless dogs has become a passion, adopting 5 dogs and 1 cat. Sally has also been involved with medical mission trips through various religious and educational institutions, traveling beyond the comfort of our borders to assist setting up clinics and rendering medical care in impoverished areas of Haiti, Peru Guatemala and Africa.
