Chiropractic Care Can Help with Fatigue

Published April 28th, 2015 by Dr. Markson

Chronic fatigue is one of the most common complaints of modern society. Feeling overly tired can be a result of of overworked adrenal glands.

The adrenal glands produce hormones that are critical to your body's stress response. When your brain interprets stress the adrenal glands begin to make hormones to deal with that stress. Whether the stress is from an emotional source, a nutrient imbalance, or a physical problem, the adrenal glands are the first to be depleted by stress. If your stress level remain high for long periods of time, your body's reserve becomes depleted and ultimately weakens your immune system. Long term depletion of the adrenal glands can impair the body's ability to adapt to stress.

When the adrenal glands can no longer effectively deal with stress, they produce muscle contractions. If you have any of these symptoms, please come visit us so we can guide you through the proper diet changes and modify your adjustment schedule to help you sleep better, think clearer, and give you more energy.

Regular chiropractic care focuses on realigning the spine back to it's natural position so that the nerves can heal and function normally again. Chiropractic allows the body to function at it's best, and over time, may improve digestion, among other things! Remember that proactively maintaining your healthy spinal alignment (even when you aren't "in pain") throughout your life will help you feel better and live a better quality of life!
